A rising junior from Katy, Texas, Gabriella was more than a member of the Blue Bear softball team—she was a compassionate friend, an inspiring student, and a shining example of what it means to lead with humility, perseverance, and kindness.

News of Gabriella’s passing has deeply affected teammates, coaches, faculty, staff, classmates, alumni, and supporters throughout the Livingstone College family. As the campus mourns this tremendous loss, countless tributes have emerged celebrating a young woman whose legacy extends far beyond the softball field.

As No. 55 for the Blue Bears, Gabriella embraced every opportunity to contribute to her team. Serving as a versatile utility player, she approached every practice and every game with determination, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to putting the team’s success ahead of her own. Her willingness to fill whatever role was needed earned the admiration of coaches and teammates alike.

Yet those who knew Gabriella understand that her greatest strengths were found in the way she treated others. Her infectious smile, bubbly personality, gentle spirit, and genuine kindness created an atmosphere of encouragement wherever she went. She possessed a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome, valued, and appreciated, qualities that transformed teammates into lifelong friends and classrooms into supportive communities.

Beyond athletics, Gabriella exemplified excellence in the classroom. She earned Dean’s List recognition during both semesters of the 2025–2026 academic year, maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade point average each semester while achieving an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.75. Her commitment to education reflected the same discipline and determination she demonstrated on the softball field.

Her outstanding academic accomplishments also earned her recognition as a recipient of a Livingstone College Board of Trustees Scholarship, an honor reserved for students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and dedication to their educational pursuits.

Gabriella truly embodied the ideals of the student-athlete. She balanced demanding academic responsibilities with collegiate athletics while carrying herself with grace, humility, and an unwavering work ethic. Livingstone College Softball Head Coach Steve Wallace shared an emotional tribute that captured the profound loss felt throughout the program.

“I am completely heartbroken by the passing of Gabriella. She was a complete joy to have as a part of the program. A great athlete and an even better student. The program will miss her immensely and her absence will be felt.”
